This includes identifying market segments and target countries, and devising and managing promotional campaigns.
  • An "Inward Investment Unit" to provide businesses in the set-up phase with the necessary practical services (location search, liaison with specialist suppliers, market information), that can be mobilised immediately. By 2010 this unit aims to provide services to 150 international businesses seeking to locate to Paris Region each year. This represents 5,000 jobs over 3 years (respectively 92 and 3,300 in 2006).
  • An "Regional Regeneration projects Unit" to help businesses and the local areas cope with economic change. Introduced by PREDA at the end of 2004, this activity has gradually expanded.

  • An "Economic and Regional information Unit" which will gather and provide information that is directly relevant to the Division's activities, and those of PREDA and its partners. One of its key remits will be to monitor the strategies of rival regions and Paris Region's comparative competitiveness on the global market.
  • A "Regional Promotion Unit" which will gather information from businesses and host areas to help clarify, promote and adapt the regional and local offer in the medium term.

Strategic Marketing and Communication Division
