2012: A new organisation for the Paris Region Economic Development Agency

Why have a new organisation? Salient facts

The new Means and Objectives Contract (2012 - 2014) curbs the Agency's activities to better serve the ambitions stated in the Economic Development and Innovation Strategy devised by the Regional Council:

  • The Agency will continue working side by side with foreign companies looking to approach the Paris Region or wishing to develop their business there once established.
  • The Agency is also committed to support SMEs/SMIs within the framework of Paris Region Entreprises, a services platform it shares with other agencies relating to the Regional Council, and to contribute to their international growth.
  • The Agency will include its objective of fostering the ecological transition of the Paris Region's economy into all of its missions, making it part of every company's development.
  • The Agency will develop its offices and its presence abroad in order to extend international growth.
