In September 2006 the Agency opened an office in Shanghai, China, in partnership with the Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The idea to open an office on shared premises came from the desire to strengthen economic relations between France and China, provide a permanent link to boost trade with this dynamic region and help Chinese and French entrepreneurs and investors to bridge the cultural divide.
PREDA and the Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry complement each other well. While PREDA, in line with its core business, supports Chinese businesses with plans to invest in the Region, PCCI helps companies in Paris Region to set up in China. Both share the same objective: matching (French) supply and (Chinese) demand more closely thanks to a team of operational experts based in Shanghai.
PREDA's long-term objective in Shanghai is to boost the economic growth and investment attractiveness of Paris Region in China. Its presence in the country is a way of ensuring that Chinese businesses take advantage of the wide range of setup support and business development services that PREDA provides to foreign companies setting up in the Region.
