The Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA) was founded in 2001 with the backing of the key regional economic and social players: primarily the Ile-de-France regional council and the chambers of commerce, departmental and local councils and the social partners...
The aim was to attract new short- and long-term investments to boost development potential and create jobs. From the outset PREDA's twin priorities have been to promote the region's attractiveness and its economic and technological image, and to support companies wishing to locate here. These are still its chief focus.
