What makes your company stand out?
First of all, the embedded electronics market represents 10% of the IT sector, worth €4 billion in France. Founded in 2007, GEENSYS is the first French company to roll out a comprehensive offer at international level that fulfils 3 major client needs: engineering, consulting and software tools. The company offers two major innovations in the embedded sector: standard software design and the development of system update tools which allow an embedded electronic design workflow that is as well organised as the IT itself. We are an innovative SME that is still owned by its employees and founders, and we grew 44% in 2008. The company, which originated in Nantes, has been in Boulogne for 3 years and has a site in Japan, Vietnam and Germany. It has 2000 employees, 250 of whom are in France.

Has your position in Paris Region been beneficial?
We need skills combining electronic know-how and knowledge of our clients' industries, and in Paris Region we have been able to recruit staff with expertise in both areas. We also have strong partnerships with research laboratories here (the French atomic energy commission, CEA; the national scientific research centre, CNRS; the national computer science research institute, INRIA; and the institute of economic and social research into telecommunications, IREST). Our involvement in the Systematic Paris-Region and Mov'eo clusters has also given us the opportunity to work in a spirit of openness and efficiency with our clients.
