What is ECOFYS France's mission?
Our mission is a sustainable energy supply for everyone and everything we do is dedicated to enabling our clients, in both the private and public sector, to benefit from a sustainable energy supply: consultancy - analysis of both environmental regulations and strategic positioning; carbon footprint analysis with solutions for its reduction; assistance in setting up Kyoto projects; and research into ways of adapting to climate change. With more than 400 employees in 15 countries, we're the leader in this sector.

ECOFYS France is part of a major group. What advantages does this bring with it?
ECOFYS was founded in 1984, as a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based group Econcern which has more than 1,200 employees in 21 countries and annual turnover of €1 billion. In addition to the unique expertise within ECOFYS International (many studies for the European Commission, a key role in international discussions with 11 of its experts involved in the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), ECOFYS France is able to draw on the experience of Econcern, which develops projects relating to energy efficiency and renewable energies.

Why did you locate your French head office in Paris?
In the last few years the climate change scene in France has developed rapidly, and it's in Paris Region that the strategic decisions are taken for many of our clients. In consequence it was vital for us to be there.
