What's NOVAMONT's specialist environmental sector?
NOVAMONT produces Mater-Bi, a plant-based biodegradable plastic resin - a raw material used by plastics specialists to make products such as bags, trays, containers, etc. This bio-plastic clearly has an important role to play within environmental strategies. I would add that NOVAMONT won the European Inventor of the Year prize for 2007, awarded by the European Patent Office.

What's NOVAMONT's ethos?
The French subsidiary of this Italian group was established in Paris in October 2006 and has the same ethos as its parent operation, focusing its business on developments with environmental benefits, seeking to change attitudes and behaviours. We fulfil a substantial educational mission with our clients and also with their own clients, who are effectively our end customers. It's worth remembering that the Loi d'Orientation Agricole (Agricultural Orientation Act) of 2006 stipulates that only biodegradable bags should be handed out at check-outs with effect from 1 January 2010: yet we think it's best to start this change process straight away.
