What does KBS do specifically?
KBS, established in 1986, has developed a unique concept called @trace, designed to supply data from intelligent tracers in real time. Our products use the full spectrum of wireless communications technologies - electronics, computing, telephony and Internet -, which enables them to communicate interactively. They can also be taught to be intelligent. Imagine a product capable, on demand, of telling its life story from beginning to end. Such a product would have an identity and a memory.

What are the major benefits of your innovation for the aerospace industry?
We are currently involved in the maintenance field. The major advantage of our solutions is the predictive element which complements existing preventive and corrective actions. Our tools allow self-diagnostics and can make decisions on behalf of a third party. We are concerned with core artificial intelligence issues. We are engaged almost exclusively in R&D.

What does it mean to be located in Paris Region?
The Region's central location and accessibility are two major advantages. Also, KBS is involved in the Modipro project run by the ASTech Paris Region aerospace cluster. We work upstream on predictive maintenance. This cluster offers a tremendous opportunity to build a joint project involving SMEs, large companies and research laboratories, with business openings as a bonus.
