Kettner stems from the MBB Walter Kettner company, founded in 1962. It began doing business in the water network sector before turning to renewable energy, more specifically focusing on rainwater collection for which it created a patented technique. Meanwhile, it has developed products in the thermal solar and photovoltaic fields. Having had representation in France for the past 3 years, it has just opened an office in Lognes, Seine-et-Marne.

The Agency had got in touch with this company in 2010, during the Intersolar tradeshow in Munich, in partnership with Seine-et-Marne Développement. It helped the company in searching for premises, as well as in completing the administrative and legal formalities relating to getting established. Kettner attended the Pollutec tradeshow held in Lyon in December 2010 at the Seine-et-Marne Développement booth, and recounted the experience on the TV programme organised by PREDA.
