Since 2002, India has initiated around 30 “green field” startups in France, 17 of which have been in the Paris Region. Together, these projects have created 1,636 jobs. The Paris Region is also the most popular region of France for Indian inward investment.
Microsoft France is a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation set up in 1983 and employing 1,300 people, most of whom work in the Paris Region. The Microsoft brand and its products are certainly very well known in France, but despite having been in business for 25 years, its French company is still off the radar for most people.
