The December 6, 2011
The first France Israel Innovation Day was held at the Finance Ministry in Paris on December 5th, 2011.
The event was jointly organised by the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, and the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour. It was opened by Mr Eric BESSON, Minister for Industry, Energy and Digital Economy, and Mr Shalom SIMHON, Minister for Industry, Trade and Labour.
France Israel Innovation Day was an opportunity for French companies to meet their Israeli counterparts in view of striking technology partnerships and creating business opportunities. The day served to highlight three main sectors, including new information and communications technology. All companies, laboratories and universities involved in that business sector were the foremost target of the event.
Companies that took part were able to increase their understanding of the various innovation policy tools and schemes providing support to businesses in the fields of technological cooperation, investment and R&D, available in both countries. There were several workshops presenting information and communications technology, medical nanotechnology, solar energy and alternative fuels.
