PREDA Israeli Office sponsoring Startup Weekends

The Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA) Office in Israel will be “Silver Sponsor" for the next Startup Weekend to be held in Haifa from next November 16th to 18th.
What is a Startup Weekend? It is all about taking 54 hours to create a start-up on the basis of an idea. To that end, a group of developers, entrepreneurs, marketers, graphic artists and creators decide to get together over a weekend. The event is open to anyone living in a Startup Weekend state of mind, whether they are old-time adventurers from Silicon Valley or callow youths. Founded by Andrew Hyde in 2007, Startup Weekend is now headed by Marc Nager, Clint Nelsen and Franck Nouyrigat out of Seattle, USA. The concept underlying the weekend is to hold a conference focused on learning through creation. So far, the project has been a great success in over 50 cities and 12 countries.
