PREDA accompanies SMEs to San Francisco

The December 8, 2008

PRIME, the PREDA office based in San Francisco, welcomed a delegation of 6 SMEs from the System@tic Paris Region competitiveness cluster. PREDA accompanied them on the trip, during which they presented their businesses to several potential investors.

After this a symposium on the factors driving the growth of open source in France and the United States brought together more than 60 attendees, including American start-ups, open source consultants and French residents of Silicon Valley.

The symposium was chaired by Dominique Piotet, President and CEO of L'Atelier BNP Paribas North America, and featured an exchange of viewpoints and perspectives on the market from Georges Nahon, CEO of Orange Lab in San Francisco, Boris Auché, Open Source Manager at Bull and José Morales, Business Development Manager at Jaspersoft. Jean-Noël de Galzain opened the event with a presentation on Paris Region's attractiveness in the open source sector and the Systematic Paris Region competitiveness cluster.
