2nd quarter 2011: 503,194 m² of offices on the market
After crossing the threshold of 600,000 m² in the previous quarter, office take-up in the Paris Region fell back down to a more modest level in second quarter 2011.
Although the 503,194 m² on the market in spring 2011 allowed take-up to just cross the 500,000 m² threshold for the seventh consecutive time, this still represented a 14.7% decrease compared to the same quarter in 2010. This result is still much higher than in early 2009. Above all, after a very solid first three months, the first half of 2011 finished 3.8% ahead of the first half of 2010 and 22.4% ahead of the first half of 2009. At the same time, the change in the Paris Region's average rent rebounded (+€5 over a quarter) while remaining far from its high of €8 in fourth quarter 2008.
